I can't believe that it's December already. The past 2 months has been soooo hectic as I am part of the costuming helpers for the kids' dance school this year. Riley started his swimming classes at the start of October too, so I don't have any spare day off, especially since there is always something happening on the weekend. I haven't visited the family for 2 months. Mum is concerned. I hope she doesn't think that there is something wrong with my marriage, since it is mostly Yung & Riley who come to visit them. Amanda & I are just too busy with dancing. We either had comps or events to go to. "Kat, let Ngai know that we are good. Things should be back to normal now that the concert is over."
I guess since there are so many things happened, point system is an easier form for today's update.
- Riley finished his entry level of swimming classes.
- I haven't done anymore scrapbooking/cardmaking activity since the Christmas cardmaking session at Ruey's back in Oct. "Ruey, let me know if you want your stamps back".
- I resigned from my DT position at Love Scrappin. "Thank you for being so wonderful and understanding, Suzie." My last project was the October kit, which I think is still available from the shop. Here is what they look like.
- Amanda got 2nd place for her Classical Ballet at the West Gippsland Eisteddfod, and 3rd place for her Neo/Contemporary Ballet at Casey Comp. She also won a total of $130 of cheque and voucher as part of the prize from the Cecchetti's Coral Brown Memorial Award this year. So overall, she had a really great start to her solo dance. This is her with one of her medal.
- I sewed 67 mouse ears headband for all the Primary Dance classes + 2 of the mice boys' costumes + a few other costumes for the intermediate and senior girls. This is Riley in costume back stage, on his concert day.
- I learnt how to sew a proper tutu. I pulled apart an old tutu, adding more tulle layers to it and turned it into a half tutu for Amanda. (Note to self: the photo doesn't do it justice. Need to pick up a dummy from Kris's.)
I am now ready for a few days of rest, before starting on the pre-chrissy clean up. The house is still look like a sewing warehouse, threads and off cuts everywhere. I still don't have a proper dining table, and I have yet to catch up on my washing. But things are looking good from now on. I will have time to catch up on my emails, sort out the photos, and hopefully scrap again.
Take care and I'll see you all soon. Thanks for keep checking on me.
